Five days ago, President Biden permitted NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) to release yet another batch of top secret government documents related to the 1963 JFK Assassination. This new batch consists of 13,173 documents.
When in 1964 the Warren Commission published its findings about the JFK Assassination in Dallas, they ordered NARA to keep about 60,000 JFK Assassination-related documents top secret -- indefinitely. In 1992, President GHW Bush signed the JFK Records Act, which authorized the release of all JFK assassination related documents in the year 2017 - subject to Presidential and Agency approval.
President Trump observed this 2017 release date as far he could, and authorized that about 30,000 of these top secret documents would be released during his administration. That still left about 30,000 remaining top secret.
This month's release by President Biden was another big step forward, although about 15,000 documents are still being evaluated by the FBI and CIA for redactions. The next targeted date for further releases is June 30, 2023.
President Biden wrote “...The need to protect records concerning the assassination has weakened with the passage of time. It is therefore critical to ensure that the United States Government maximizes transparency by disclosing all information in records concerning the assassination, except when the strongest possible reasons counsel otherwise.”
Here's the question that we ask here: If (as the official US Government version says) Lee Harvey Oswald and Oswald alone assassinated President Kennedy in Dallas in 1963 -- then --
If Oswald was truly the Lone Shooter who killed JFK -- and since Oswald himself was killed two days later, then what is the point of keeping tens of thousands of government documents about the JFK Assassination TOP SECRET for over 59 years?
Here's our plea: FOR ALL THESE NEW RELEASES OF JFK ASSASSINATION RECORDS, PLEASE, PLEASE SET THE CIA RECORDS ASIDE FOR A CHANGE, AND FOCUS INTENTLY ON FBI RECORDS -- ESPECIALLY THOSE DEALING WITH PEOPLE INSIDE DALLAS.
Thank you,
